Description
Members of a United States force, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, ? Marine Regiment, United States Marine Corps (USMC), mostly armed with M16 rifles, rest while travelling in the back of a truck following a search for weapons and suspected Taliban fighters. The weapon on the far left is a Minimi light machine gun. The USMC is serving in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, the military response to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
