At a United Nations compound, members of a United States force, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, ? Marine Regiment, United States Marine Corps (USMC), and of Afghan Special Forces, laugh as one of the marines copes with a monkey which has climbed onto his head. The USMC is serving in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, the military response to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
