French souvenir Christmas handkerchief
Description
Pale pink silk chiffon handkerchief with hand applied lace border 45mm deep. There is an edge of drawn threadwork inside the lace. One corner is embroidered in green, olive green, white, red, yellow, blue and black satin stitch with the French and British flags, a pansy with each petal embroidered in the colours of other Allied flags, holly and mistletoe. 'Greetings from France' is embroidered in red underneath this.
