During redeployment of B Company, 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), from Fire Support Base (FSB) Anne, an unidentified signaller huddles into a cluster of banana palm. He seeks refuge from the noise of the UH-1H 'Huey' Iroquois helicopter, seen landing in the clearing behind him, while he uses an AN/PRC 25 wireless set. A bayonet scabbard on the webbing beside the radio bears the surname of the photographer, 61271 Major Andrew Mattay.
