Studio portrait of 3930 Private (Pte) Cecil Samuel Wallace, 42nd Battalion, of Gympie, Qld. A butcher prior to enlisting on21 August 1915, Pte Wallace embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Suffolk on 30 November 1915. He was killed in action in France on 6 August 1916.
