Studio portrait of 4346A Lance Corporal (LCpl) Bernard Martin Walshe, 54th Battalion, of Sydney, NSW. A warehouseman prior to enlisting at Haberfield, NSW, on 23 August 1915, Private Walshe embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Aeneas on 20 December 1915. He was killed in action in France on 19 July 1916, aged 23.
