Description

An unidentified Australian soldier reloading his rifle on a small, sheltered area of Pope's Hill. There are two other rifles with bayonets attached leaning against the ground in this position, one of which most likely belongs to the soldier in the background who has crawled to the top of the hill to see if he can locate Turkish snipers. The day after, Captain George Guyatt Gardiner was shot in the ankle in this place.
