Description
Members of an Ack Ack [Anti Aircraft] gun crew tamping their gun which fired on an enemy aircraft flying over Sydney at 10.45pm on 19 February 1943. Three shells were fired but the aircraft was not hit and flew off seaward before disappearing from view. The aircraft was reported to be flying at 17,500 feet on this moonlit night.
