Studio portrait of 482 Private William Donald Glenroy McGregor, 12th Company Australian Machine Gun Corps, of Croydon, Qld. A bank accountant prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses (A38) on 28 October 1916. On 13 October 1917, he was killed in action at Passchendaele, Belgium, aged 24. He is buried in the Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium.
