Studio portrait of 954 Trooper Arthur Richard Nicholl, 1st Light Horse Regiment, of Quirindi, NSW. A drover prior to enlisting on 6 January 1915, he embarked from Melbourne, Vic, aboard HMAT Bakarra on 22 May 1915. He died of wounds on 22 January 1917 in Rafa, Palestine, aged 30.
