Studio portrait of 3897 Private Cyril Edgar Blanchard, 1st Battalion, of Coffs Harbour, NSW. A dairyman prior to enlisting on 6 September 1915, he embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Mooltan on 11 December 1915. He was killed in action some time during 22-25 July 1916, in France, aged 27.
