Studio portrait of 242 Private Leslie Percy Wride, 42th Battalion, of Killarney Qld, son of Harry Frank Wride. A coachsmith prior to enlisting at Killarney, Qld on 2 November 1915. He embarked from Sydney, NSW aboard HMAT Borda (A30) on 5 June 1916. He died of wounds on 7 January 1917 in France, aged 21. He is buried in Trois-Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France.
