Studio portrait of 3328 Private William Boyce Graham,1st Battalion, of Paddington, NSW, son of William and Elizabeth Graham. A coachsmith prior to enlisting at Paddington, NSW on 8 July 1915, he embarked from Sydney, NSW aboard HMAT Themistocles (A32) on 5 October 1916. He was killed in action on 5 November 1916 in France, aged 26, during the first battle of the Somme. He was buried about 450 yds N.N.W of Gueudecourt, France but his grave was lost and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
