Studio portrait of 4964 Private Archibald Duncan Campbell, 3rd Battalion, of Little Billabong, NSW. Son of Samuel Percy and Annie Maria Campbell via Germantown (later Holbrook), NSW. A labourer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Star of England (A15) on 8 March 1916. He was killed in action on 17 August 1916 in France, aged 25. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
