Description
An unidentified Australian soldier standing on the back of an Australian Bushmaster Infantry Mobility Vehicle (IMV), number U55. The Bushmaster is air conditioned, provides a high level of protection against land mines and is capable of carrying nine soldiers and their equipment, fuel and supplies for three days. Ten Bushmasters were deployed to Iraq with the Al Muthanna Task Group in May 2005. Note the red kangaroo painted on the side of the vehicle.
