Description
The building in which Saddam Hussein's trial is being conducted in Camp Union, within the Green Zone in Baghdad. This building is segregated from the rest of Camp Union by high concrete fencing and barbed wire and is heavily patrolled and guarded, with lengthy administration processes involved in obtaining access to the building. This image was taken from on top of a building used by the Australian Security Detachment (SECDET). The Green Zone is a heavily guarded area in central Baghdad and its borders are marked by razor wire, chain link fences and reinforced and blast proof concrete slabs, as well as many check points. A number of Iraqi government officials, as well as civilians work and live within the Green Zone.
