Inside the sunken ammunition bay used by 'C' gun, 105 Field Battery, Royal Australian Artillery. Neatly stacked 105 mm rounds for the L5 Pack Howitzer are clearly visible on the left and cardboard storage tubes are also visible stacked against the back wall. These bays were dug adjacent to each gun pit and provided a ready source of ammunition for each gun in the battery.
