History / Summary
Robert C Stanley, born in 1904, served in the Merchant Navy aboard the troopship SS Queen Mary from 29 October 1941 to 10 December 1944. He returned to Australia in October 1945 and went on to serve aboard SS Katoomba in 1946, SS Cardross in 1947 and SS Karuah from which he was discharged on 8 May 1948.
