Studio portrait of 3533 Private James Arthur Ernest Wilson, 3rd Battalion. A labourer of Port Macquarie, NSW, he enlisted on 26 July 1915 and sailed with the 11th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Euripides on 2 November 1915. He returned to Australia on 25 January 1919. His two brothers, 3534 Pte Samuel Charles Wilson and 4887 Pte Eric Robert Wilson, were both killed in action on 19 July 1916 at Fromelles.
