Description

The 44 small red bombs painted on the side of this Canberra Bomber aircraft indicate that it is the No 2 Squadron aircraft which had flown the most missions by May 1967. Admiring the operational paintwork are O56363 Flying Officer (FO) Brian Donald Gribble, navigator, of Perth, WA, (left) and O16657 FO Robert Melville (Bob) O’Hanlon, pilot of Gympie, Qld (right). [FO O’Hanlon died at the Repatriation General Hospital, Greenslopes, Brisbane, on 3 July 1969.]
