A16953 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Frederick Ernest (Fred) Muller, surface finisher, of Toowoomba, Qld, smiles as he racks up another mission for No 2 Squadron. LAC Muller painted the small red bomb insignia on the Canberra Bomber aircraft which flew the first mission for the squadron in April 1967. Since then he has painted more than 400 of the insignias on the squadron’s aircraft.
