Hand coloured portrait of 20499 Stoker Eric Peter Beattie, HMAS Sydney. An accountant of Fremantle, WA, he enlisted on 15 October 1934. He was killed in action on 20 November 1941 when HMAS Sydney was lost with all hands on 19 November 1941 after its engagement with the Kormoran in the Indian Ocean.
