Australian soldiers in a cemetery in Tobruk. In the foreground is the grave of SX7686 Lieutenant (Lt) William Claude Jenkins, 14 Platoon, Commander of C Company, 2/48th Battalion, of Port Pirie, SA. A salesman prior to enlisting in Adelaide, SA, on 3 July 1940, Lt Jenkins was killed in action in Libya, on 16 May 1941, aged 28 years.
