British civilian respirator gas mask
Description
Civilian issue gas mask respirator with front mounted black and green painted metal filter canister clamped to a black rubber face mask with two screw-in circular glass eye pieces set in a protruding molded brow. The clamp is impressed ICA 6-11-41. There is a rubber flutter valve attached to a triangular metal plate mounted between the eye pieces. The adjustable elasticated harness is marked in yellow 2-2-41and is mounted to the mask via six rivetted metal plates. The rubber mask is embossed 'NORMAL' on the right cheek and stamped 'TAC 7/40 LOT-21' on the chin.
