Description
A double decker London bus which has fallen into a bomb crater above Balham Tube Station, London 15 October 1940. The flooding of the underground railway station burst water mains killing at least 64 people in what became known as the 'Balham Station Disaster'. This image was used as part of post card series during the war and an example can be seen in the AWM collection as P06578.006.
