Description
Gunners from 161 Battery, Royal New Zealand Artillery (RNZA), unload ammunition and stores from the rear of an M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier of 1st Armoured Personnel Carrier Squadron (1APC Sqn), Royal Australian Armoured Corps, during Operation Ingham. Identified from left: Gunner (Gnr) George Pahau; Gnr Phil Johnson; Gnr Lumsden (back to camera); Sergeant Trevor A Pilcher (looking into APC); Bombardier Dan McCort who is carrying a cardboard box of 'A' rations (note the letter 'A' within the club symbol stenciled to the box). The two unidentified soldiers on top of the APC are probably the Australian crew (driver and commander).
