Description
With his L1A1 Self Loading Rifle (SLR) at the ready, an unidentified member of D Company, 6RAR/NZ (ANZAC) Battalion (comprising the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component of the 1st Battalion, the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), leads soldiers from 3/52 Battalion of 18 Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) through a flooded stream during a patrol. Under the new policy of pacification, the patrol forms part of the training of the South Vietnamese troops, as members of 6RAR/NZ try to impart correct and safe infantry tactics to them.
