Description
Wearing flak jackets, members of D Company, 6RAR/NZ (ANZAC) Battalion (comprising the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component of the 1st Battalion, the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), make their way on patrol over sandy ground towards tall grass and the fringe of the jungle. Under the new policy of pacification, the diggers are training troops from 3/52 Battalion of 18 Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN). They are trying to impart correct and safe infantry tactics to the South Vietnamese soldiers.
