Description
Members of D Company, 6RAR/NZ (ANZAC) Battalion (comprising the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component of the 1st Battalion, the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), duck under low-hanging branches as they make their way into a flooded stream during a patrol. Under the new policy of pacification, the diggers are carrying out the patrol as part of the training of troops from 3/52 Battalion of 18 Division of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN). The diggers are trying to impart correct and safe infantry tactics to the South Vietnamese soldiers.
