Informal portrait of 25761 Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Lester Noel Bootes, Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV), of Villawood, NSW (formerly of Orange, NSW). WO2 Bootes was attached to the 7th Armoured Cavalry Squadron, a unit of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) which operated around the city of Hue in the northern part of South Vietnam. WO2 Bootes wears the badge of an ARVN non-commissioned officer tank crewman on his black beret in addition to the badge of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. He also wears the ARVN tank qualification badge above his right breast pocket, and the badge of the AATTV on his right upper sleeve.
