Description
A bugler plays the last post at the memorial service for 219663 Trooper David Gerard Doyle of B Squadron, 3 Cavalry Regiment, who was accidentally killed in Phuoc Tuy Province on 31 July 1970. Against the background of the Nui Dinh Hills, other members of the unit meanwhile bow their heads in respect. About 140 men are attending the inter-denominational service, many of them having been briefly relieved of operational commitments so that they could return to the 1ATF base for the commemoration of their fallen comrade.
