Description
During Phase 2 of Operation Bondi I, an unidentified member of 5RAR (centre) talks to another soldier and to the manager of the French-owned Binh Ba rubber plantation (in white, left), as members of 1st Division Intelligence Unit carry out identity checks of the adult villagers of the hamlet of Duc My underneath the manager's residence. After 5RAR conducted a cordon and search of the hamlet, the entire populace of Duc My, including children, was moved, most of them on foot, to the screening area for the checks. The villagers are employees of the plantation. The three men are standing next to a Citroen 2CV car, while in the background are Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) of B Squadron, 3 Cavalry Regiment.
