Description
During Phase 2 of Operation Bondi I, the Duc Thanh District Chief, Major Tram Van Ngo (centre), and the CO of 5RAR, 235030 Lieutenant Colonel Colin Nicholas Kahn (4th from left), together with other members of the battalion, inspect machinery in a factory building of the French-owned Binh Ba rubber plantation. With the exception of the Vietnamese officer, the men have their rifles at the ready. The task set for the operation is to cordon and search the hamlets making up Binh Ba village, whose adult inhabitants are employed in the plantation.
