Description
An unidentified Australian soldier carries a bound and blindfolded Viet Cong soldier over his shoulder after he was captured during Operation Mundingburra. The man was taken prisoner by 2/48 Battalion of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) in the first phase of an assault on a reported base area of the Viet Cong D445 Battalion in the east of the province. Almost the whole of D445 slipped away, however, before Australian, New Zealand and ARVN forces could trap it.
