Carrying their kitbags and rifles, members of 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), board a US Chinook helicopter standing on the flight deck of HMAS Sydney. The ship has just brought the soldiers to Vietnam to commence their tour of duty, and the chopper is about to fly them to the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base.
