Medical officer 2146748 Captain Jack Blomley (left) talks to two members of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV), 216638 Warrant Officer 2 (WO2) Terence Ross (Terry) Smith (right) and his second-in-command 33609 WO2 Clarence William (Clarrie) Crapper, about their medical needs and the general operational situation. Smith and Crapper are based in the Binh Ba area of Phuoc Tuy Province where Smith enjoys the jocular title, 'The Baron of Binh Ba'. Blomley, who has his own affectionate nickname of 'Jack the Quack', is a CMF officer who has volunteered for full-time service in Vietnam. A former Wallaby Rugby Union international football player, he engaged a locum doctor to run his medical practice in Newcastle so that he could serve in Vietnam.
