History / Summary

432898 Leading Aircraftman Graham Stevenson was born in Enfield, NSW on 8 December 1924. He was a clerk storeman and a member of the RAAF cadets before he enlisted in Sydney on 30 January 1943. After going through training with 2 Initial Training School at Bradfield Park, NSW Stevenson went on to 5 Service Flying Training School at Uranquinty , NSW in June 1943.
He was promoted to leading aircraftman in August 1943. Then Stevenson was briefly posted to 25 Stores Unit, Richmond NSW on 6 December 1943 before being attached to 25 Air Stores Park on New Years Day 1944. The unit went overseas in February to Lae, New Guinea then in July it arrived on Noemfoor Island. It went on to serve in Morotai and Labuan with Stevenson returning to Australia in October 1945 before the unit disbanded in November 1945. Stevenson was discharged from the RAAF on 19 March 1946.
