Studio portrait of Lance Corporal (LCpl) Edwin Francis Glover, 53rd Battalion, later, 19th Battalion, of Donald, Vic. A farmer prior to enlistment he embarked from Sydney with the 4th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Vestalia (A44) on 11 July 1916. LCpl Glover was killed in action on 3 May 1917, aged 21 years. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
