Nihon gunjin shokun [Soldiers of the Japanese Army]
Description
A small propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to New Guinea, Timor and the South Pacific. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet reports the massive losses by the Japanese Navy during the battles of the Coral Sea, Midway and elsewhere and that supplies from Japan would be disrupted as a result of the fleet losses. The leaflet also mentions that the Japanese in the South-west Pacific will fall prey to tropical diseases if left without food and reinforcements.
