Kôgun shôhei ni tsugu [Officers and men of the Mikado's Forces]
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet is issued under the name of the Federation for Achieving the Showa Restoration. The message on the leaflet warns that the Emperor has been wronged by the incumbent Cabinet which mishandled diplomacy and by the General Staff Office which concocted poor military strategy. It urges Japanese military men to initiate a Showa Restoration in order to rescue the Emperor from his erring officers and ministers.
