Tôa ni okeru Nihon [Japan in Southeast Asia].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Japan-Formosa and Melanesia. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. A map of Japanese-occupied territories is printed on one side with red splashes indicating the positions air-raided by the Allies. The message warns that the scale of air-bombing will increase substantially in the near future. It also mentions the surrender of Italy and the destruction of German main cities. The message also emphasises the great production capacity of the US war industry and states that Japan has already been encircled by the superior Allied air power.
