Nichigun Rae, Saramô o ushinau [Japan loses Lae and Salamaua].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Lae and Salamaua. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The leaflet reports the withdrawals of the Japanese forces from Lae and Salamaua in September 1943. The message states that the troops in the Pacific are now regarded useless because Japan is carrying out the "Hundred Years' War" of attrition in the area extending up to Burma in the West, Java in the South, Ogasawara Island in the East and the Kuriles in the North.
