Seishinryoku [Spirit and strength].

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Guadalcanal, the Finschhafen Area and Lae. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The message states that the mighty fighting spirit of the Allied Forces is manifested in their victories over Japan in the Pacific and the invention of more effective armaments, although Japanese soldiers were led to believe by the military clique that the Allies had no inspiration in fighting this war and the superior fighting spirit of the Japanese would bring victory to Japan. The message warns Japanese soldiers that the inferiority of Japanese equipment will become more pronounced as the war goes on, and then questions whether it is still not evident to them that the blunder of the military clique is leading them to defeat.
