A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The message warns that all drinking water in the area is contaminated and the chemical purifiers issued by the Japanese are ineffective. It is stressed that Japanese soldiers should demand the same water purifiers that the Allied soldiers are provided with. It appears that the purpose of the message is to indicate the superiority of the Allies in a matter directly relevant to soldiers' everyday life.
