Studio portrait of 3960 Private James McEwan Morrison, 1st Battalion, of Leichhardt, NSW. Son of William and Eliza Ann Morrison of Paddington, NSW. An electrical engineer prior to enlisting he embarked from Sydney aboard RMS Mooltan on 11 December 1915. He was killed in action on 22 July 1916 at Pozieres, France, aged 17. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
