Description

Czech Model Vz 24 1924 bayonet and scabbard. This bayonet has nickel plated metal work and wooden grips held to the tang with two screw bolts. The pommel has a mortise slot and locking bolt which secures it to the rifle nosecap. The crossguard has a muzzle ring, but no quillon. The reversed edge spear point blade has a fuller on each side for about 220 mm. The ricasso has the markings, 'CSZ T'. 'Z' in a circle is marked on the cross guard. The scabbard is nickel plated with marking, 'CSZ' on the frog lug.

History / Summary

The history of this bayonet is unknown. The "CSZ' marking indicate that this bayonet was used by Czechoslovakian troops during the Second World War.
