Ryôshi no musume [The fisher girl].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text which notes that the leaflet is intended to induce nostalgia among Japanese soldiers. The leaflet carries a picture of a young Japanese fisher girl looking at the sardine catch. The picture is accompanied by a Japanese poem depicting the scene.
