Nichigun shôhei shokun [To officers and men of the Japanese Army].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The leaflet discusses the retreat of the Japanese forces from Finschhafen, Lae and Salamaua, the advance of the Allied Forces to the Satelberg area currently held by these retreating forces, the repeated air attacks on Japanese airfields at Rabaul, Wewak, Madang, Alexishaffen, Gasmata Cape Gloucester, Buka and Buin, the lack of support by the Japanese Navy and Air Force and the problem with supplies. The back of the leaflet has a map of New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
