Karendaa [New Year leaflet].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The leaflet is a Japanese-style calendar which shows a number of annual events by month. The first page has a brief message criticising the political trend in Japan, which is going backwards to the principle of seclusion. The short message at the very end of the leaflet stresses that defeat in this year is inevitable.
