Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This item is written in Japanese and was distributed to Japan-Formosa and Melanesia. An English translation of the text is attached. This issue is dated 15 December 1943 and covers events such as the death of Tokuda Shûsei, the lower rice harvest and disgruntled farmers, the shortage of petrol, Transport Minister's speech on shipping and the war situation in the Pacific. It also reports the conference of the Allied leaders in Cairo and the Allied attacks on German positions in Europe.
